In early July, an anonymous benefactor issued a special challenge to Drayton Hall’s loyal friends and donors – agreeing to match all new gifts and commitments of $25,000 in support of Drayton Hall Reimagined, our campaign for new museum and education facilities.

This challenge is active July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018 – though our benefactor may end it at any time – and commitments may be paid over a period of 1-5 years.

While donors who take advantage of this tremendous opportunity will be recognized as $50,000 major donors to the campaign, and invited to a series of opening celebrations, our benefactor’s gift will create a permanently restricted fund to support staff as part of our annual operating budget.

This is an exciting opportunity for Drayton Hall to fulfill our campaign goal while providing essential support for operations, in perpetuity. Our objective is to realize forty new gifts and commitments in support of this challenge – resulting in $1MM for new facilities and creating a $1MM endowed fund.

In our initial three weeks, working with existing campaign donors, eleven new commitments have been received, that’s $275,000!

If you are in a position to make a significant commitment in support of Drayton Hall, there is no better time to maximize the impact of your gift. Please know we remain thankful for your loyal support of Drayton Hall and appreciate you sharing news of this challenge with friends and neighbors. Your support and advocacy will help Drayton Hall realize its full potential.
