Hannah Truman is a graduate student completing her MS in the Clemson University Historic Preservation program. As the 2024 Riley Collections Fellow, Hannah documented nail holes, extant hanging hardware, and related evidence of objects that were once hung or otherwise mounted on the walls inside Drayton Hall. This impressive undertaking resulted in a 126-page report and would not have been possible without the support of the Charles Scott Riley III Fund. Hannah’s work advances our ability to study Drayton Hall’s historic interiors and parse the locations of fine and decorative arts as well as more utilitarian objects used for lighting or storage.
