Drayton Hall is pleased to announce the return of a most beloved Charleston and Lowcountry holiday event tradition: The Drayton Hall Oyster Roast.

For the past several years, Drayton Hall – historic plantation museum – has concentrated all of its strength in a herculean capital campaign and subsequent construction of new museum galleries and a visitor center which rounded out a visit to this Charleston plantation house in the Ashley River Historic District. Now, with beautiful new buildings to service visitors and large events, Drayton Hall has announced that the Lowcountry holiday tradition of a great big oyster roast will return to Drayton Hall – which is all decked out for the occasion.

Tickets are on sale now for the Deck the Hall Oyster RoasT – the central event around which Drayton Hall has built a series of wonderful events for Deck The Hall Weekend including a children’s program, holiday classes, an artisan shopping market, and a food truck brunch on Sunday, December 8.

Two hundred guests are expected to join in this lively Charleston tradition on Saturday, December 8 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. There are both General Admission and VIP Lounge Admission tickets available. All proceeds benefit Drayton Hall Preservation Trust’s preservation and education mission.

Tickets to this memorable event are available for the moment; the announcement of the oyster roast brought a healthy early ticket sale in October, so if are attending if is best to get tickets now!

More information and tickets can be found on the Deck the Hall Oyster Roast web page, here.
