On Friday, June 16, 2017, Drayton Hall was honored to receive the South Carolina Historic Preservation Stewardship Award for the momentous Portico Rehabilitation Project, which was completed last spring. Our Curator of Historic Architectural Resources Trish Lowe Smith, who managed the portico project, accepted the award on Drayton Hall’s behalf. Bennett Preservation Engineering and Richard Marks Restoration were also honored for their work on the structural assessment and reconstruction of the iconic portico. Congrats to our fellow award recipients!
