Stargazing on the Ashley at Drayton Hall – Charleston’s Premier Winter Astronomy Event
Join Drayton Hall and the Lowcountry Stargazers for one of Charleston, South Carolina’s most magical winter experiences — Stargazing on the Ashley, returning January 24, 2026. This unforgettable evening of astronomy takes place from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Drayton Hall, a historic estate and museum located in the heart of the Ashley River Historic District.
January’s crisp, clear skies provide ideal conditions for stargazing beneath the stars of the Lowcountry night sky. Guests will enjoy views through high-powered telescopes guided by expert astronomers, with the stunning backdrop of Drayton Hall’s scenic grounds and historic architecture.
Warm up with complimentary hot chocolate while you explore the cosmos. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase (credit card only).
