The theme of Black History Month 2025 is African Americans and Labor, and the historic record has much to reveal about the knowledge and accomplishments of people enslaved at Drayton-owned plantations. Curator Amber Satterthwaite will share examples of individuals’ achievements and how their work impacted life, landscapes, and economics on and off the plantation.
