Rebecca Perry Drayton (1758-1840) is known as the fourth wife of John Drayton (1715-1779) but she led a fascinating and long life well after John Drayton passed. In 1784 she sold Drayton Hall to her oldest surviving stepson, Charles Drayton (1743-1820) and moved into downtown Charleston with her children Ann, Susannah, and John. Join us for a fascinating walk around the historic Harleston neighborhood and learn about the legacy of Rebecca Perry Drayton and the many enslaved individuals in her household.
Comfortable shoes and water are suggested.
