Whether you’re brand new to photography or you’ve owned your camera for years but never quite unlocked its full potential, this class is a must. We’ll demystify the Triangle of Exposure, explore equivalent exposures and exposure modes, explain why you need to move beyond Auto, and cover white balance and composition.
Photographer Colin Hocking will guide you through the essential camera settings that put you on the path to shooting creatively—and, just as importantly, teach you how to choose the right settings when there’s no one there to help. By the end of the class, you’ll understand how to start taking the best photos you’ve ever taken.
You’ll also have time to head outdoors and put what you’ve learned into practice, so please bring your camera, the instruction manual (if you have it), fully charged batteries, and a tripod (if available). Pen and paper for note-taking are recommended.
Boxed lunches will be provided.
