Discover Charleston’s rich past and bring home a timeless keepsake at Drayton Hall’s Blue & White Tile Painting Workshop, a unique experience blending history and creativity.
Join Drayton Hall Staff Archaeologist Nicole Houck and local ceramic artist Janette Wall of Carolina Creamware for a special behind-the-scenes tour and painting session. Explore a curated selection of the Drayton Hall archaeological collections, and draw artistic inspiration from historic pottery fragments, decorative motifs, and Lowcountry craftsmanship.
Following the tour, enjoy a hands-on ceramic tile painting workshop led by Janette Wall of Carolina Creamware. You’ll design and paint your own blue and white tile using traditional techniques and personal flair.
