Drayton Hall’s “Preservation Tech Tour” Continues this Fall

The Preservation Tech Tour is a new program designed to give those with an interest in architecture, history, and preservation a better understanding of and appreciation for the technical aspects of the site’s design, construction, and preservation efforts.

Participants will be treated to a behind-the-scenes exploration of the house, examining construction details, architectural elements, materials, and past and current preservation efforts to reveal a fascinating layer of the site’s history that is rarely shown in such depth.

Led by Drayton Hall senior interpreters, the tour will begin with a brief illustrated lecture followed by a tour of the house, including areas normally closed to visitors.

• Tours will be offered the first Saturday of every month at the times noted below.
• Admission is $25 per person, $20 for Friends of Drayton Hall, and includes a light breakfast.
• Space is limited and advance reservations are required.
• To reserve, please contact Amber Clawson at (843) 769-2608 or amber_clawson@draytonhall.org
